Us (Cindy, Margaret, Sue, Linda, Sandra, Dottie)!

Do we look like a flock of hummingbirds?

Cindy was accused of being "teacher's pet" when she was actually the fastest stitcher in all categories;

of course, she was also the baby of our group...

This was a very staid group;  they always stood in the same order!

Cindy has jungle animal windows, Margaret has bunny windows, Sue has deer and cabin windows, Sandra has pink flamingo windows, and Dottie has butterfly windows.  They are ALL naturally  wonderful!

Seriously at work,  here are Dottie/Cindy, Sandra, Cindy/Sandra, Dottie/Margaret/Sandra.....

Sue makes her sill-y templates, Cindy lines up her eight attic windows blocks, and Sandra converses with Dottie...

Margaret gets out her straight pins, Sue puts sills on her windows, Dottie stitches star points, Sandra grins...

Sandra presses, Dottie's butterfly blocks layout, Sue's fabs unpacked and stacked.....

From the grapevine.....

Linda,

The retreat was great.  I so enjoyed getting to know the other girls better.  I loved the pattern and we all had so much fun putting it together.  You had some really fun "stuff" to do also.  All in all, I think it was great!!!  S.B.

Thanks for all of the hard work on the retreat, it was a lot of fun.  I appreciate all of the work that you put into it.  C.C.

BAG LADY OF THE YEAR:  Margaret Snow, whose bag was unadorned but whose mouth (once again!) served her well, as she described the contents of her very plain bag!

Teacher's Honorable Mention goes to Sue O'Steen who made a HAPPY HOUR BAG!!!

You have got to SEE it to BELIEVE it!!!

I hope to photo it on Sept. 2, and will put the photo HERE that night or the next day!

Here is what I've read in your emails and heard "through the grapevine"......These quotes are copied/pasted from your emails!

"Thank you for a most delightful retreat this week-end........I had so much
fun telling my husband about all the fun things
we did and the funny things that happened!!!!!! I believe the group really
connected and everyone seemed to be so happy
and having such fun.........I know I was....you are such a sweetheart for
providing the opportunity for us to get together.......I truely believe it
was not only worth your effort, but will extend far beyond your expectations
for providing
us a solid foundation of kindred spirits.......

Again, thanks for you efforts and creativity in a wonderful, fullfilling
retreat............made for great memories!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I think the retreat was a thorough success."

"I enjoyed the retreat sooooooooooo much.I can't wait for the next one!!!!!!"

"It was just a great weekend!  Next time I won't be so jetlagged, but it was great anyway.  Thanks for all your hard work.  I hope you enjoyed it as much as we all did."

"Thank you for a delightful Retreat.. The activities were beautifully programmed , and the prizes and favors were great.  I'm so glad I attended.

I hope you are well rested by now.  Thanks again for a delightful Retreat."

"One of your students was in yesterday. She RAVED about the retreat and said you HAD to do it again next year. She said everyone would bug you until you agreed. It must have been really good."                                        [This is from an email from Sybil, and I know exactly who she is referring to, and  so I am including this instead of similar words from this retreater's personal email!]
