Dynamic Design

with the five classical canons of rhetoric

Linda Digby McFarland, M.A.

The Quilter's Memory

The fiery red fabric makes me think of Valentine’s Day, lace handkerchiefs, chocolate candy in gold boxes, sentimental cards, and love.  These are the thoughts I wish to evoke within my viewers.  To establish the memory of the feeling of love in my audience, I will stitch together the three layers of the quilt with beautifully shaped hearts in perfect diagonal cross-hatching spaced precisely one-half inch apart.
